In the winter of 2011, Cudi unveiled that his band WZRD's upcoming alt-rock LP would include no profanity whatsoever. The announcement was surprising to many of his fans, who were used to hearing the GOOD Music artist revel in dark thoughts. He tweeted: "Haha man some of yall really upset theres no profanity?? You know songs can be written with out them right? Some of yall listen to so much ignorant s--- that thats all you know or are accustomed to. My fans are smart, I know yall better then this."
