Cudi made another acting turn in 2011, appearing in the Shia LaBeouf-directed horror short 'Maniac.' The film was inspired by the 'Maniac' cut on Kid's second album, 'Man on the Moon II.' The full-length clip was released on Halloween, and it co-starred Cage who collaborated with Cudi on the track. Shot documentary-style, the bleak short proved to be morose and a bit disturbing. The camera follows Cudi and Cage as they portray two serial killers wreaking havoc and murdering whoever they come across. 'Maniac' proved that even if Cudi was off drugs, he still had the ability to tap into his darker side.
