"Me and my momma grew up together. She was young, I was the only child at the time, and my father was out in the streets tryna make things possible for us. On foot, we would go out and handle her business. Them long walks to the county building was most memorable because of the conversations we had. She never talked to me as a lil' boy or a baby. I was a grown lil' man in her eyes. Ultimately, them walks consisted of her saying, and I quote, 'Stay the fuck outta people business and treat others the way you want to be treated, and God will bless you Kendrick. Listen to me.' So today she says my ears couldn’t have been even more bigger because today I'm blessed more than she could have ever imagined."
