Gospel singer Kelly Price served as a frequent collaborator on R. Kelly's early tracks, especially during the multi-platinum success of his recording career. Ironically, Price sings about a backstabbing BFF that sleeps with her husband on the oldie but goodie "Friend of Mine." The song features R. Kelly and has a similar plot to the "Trapped in the Closet" love triangle between Sylvester, Gwendolyn and Gwen's pal Cathy. The similarities are uncanny making for good substitutions. Possible younger stand-in: Keri Hilson considering R. Kelly's affinity for younger women. The two teamed up five years ago for the Kelly track "Number One."
