Kanye West Flubs His Lines on 'Saturday Night Live'

It seems that the self-described "No. 1 Human in Music" is only human afterall. Kanye West served as musical guest at last night's season premiere of 'SNL,' and totally forgot his own lyrics to 'Champion'/'Everything I Am.' "I just messed up on my rap. Live TV, like damn," he joked mid-rhyme, and threw in a freestyle at the end just in case you thought he didn't have skills. Somewhere in Southern California, Britney must have giggled.

I'm not a fan but he did a great job considering most performers lip sync and he was live. Let the haters hate. He's laughing all the way to the bank.

I think he did fine. I wouldn't have noticed if I was watching it without knowing. He kept the beat flowing, it wasn't like he paused for a long time or anything.

I didn't see this SNL - and I am no fan of Kayne West and NOOO fan of rap "music", but really like some of the lyrics of this song whether he flubbed it or not..he kept on going like a pro IMO..I think he did a great job. He needs to do 2 things -- the lyrics on the first part that I caught - EXCELLENT - change it to a song everyone can understand. We don't all get rap very well..his lyrics IMO are VERY good..and another Kayne darlin - wear clothes that FIT! Seems he did most of the performance holding up his drawers.. It was IMO a really good song with lyrics that made a LOT of GOOD sense..a good message to get out there but needs to be understandable..BUT I am "OLD" and perhaps the kids understand it..I hope so. I think, from what I heard, it's a GOOD message and he'd be a better influence if he could keep his pants up.
From an "OLD" lady's perspective - Good job Kayne!! THAT is a song I will seek out and purchase BECAUSE of the positive message I heard in it anyway and again GREAT save!!

ANDY:
Yes, everyone has the "write" to their own opinion, but Kanye gets a bad rap for his ego simply because he's very outspoken about others. If you're going to speak, expect others to speak back.

As far as other generations- Kanye isn't a bad influence in my opinion so this does not concern me. I am only describing his appeal towards me as an individual, which happens to be affected by his rather large ego. While his skills and showmanship are the most important features of an artist, his fans' reaction towards his personality is what makes the difference between whether they will be willing to purchase a few of his hits from iTunes, or actually go out and buy the whole CD. So you tell me wether his personality is important or not???
