50 Cent Talks to Authorities About 'Suspicious' Fire

50 Cent can't seem to stay out of the news these days and he isn't even promoting an album! The rapper met with authorities and is cooperating with an investigation into the "suspicious" fire that burned down his Long Island mansion where his ex-girlfriend lived.

Despite contrary reports, 50 maintains that he has not been avoiding the Suffolk County police and is currently cooperating with the authorities. "50 and his attorneys met yesterday with County authorities regarding the fire that destroyed 50's house," the rapper's rep said in a statement to TMZ.com. "The meeting had been arranged weeks ago. 50 is eager to review the findings of the investigation, when it is concluded."

The dispute over the mansion is apart of an on-going battle between 50 and his ex-girlfriend Shaniqua Tomkins. Though 50 was in Louisiana at the time of the fire and denies any involvement, Tomkins claims that he threatened her prior to the blaze. The two are set to go back to court in September. Let's just hope that they can resolve their issues and focus on raising their 11-year-old son.
