Soulja Boy Cool With Slavery

According to Soulja Boy Tell Em, there was an upside to slavery. When asked during an interview which historical figure he hates most , the teenage rapper was at a loss for words. In an attempt to get a response from the rapper, the interviewer revealed past answers to the question, which included Osama Bin Laden, Adolf Hitler and slave masters.

Soulja Boy seemed to disagree with some of the past responses. "Oh wait! Hold up! Shout out to the slave masters! Without them we'd still be in Africa. We wouldn't be here to get this ice and tattoos," the rapper ignorantly proclaimed. Way to go Soulja Boy! Good to know someone is willing to trade their freedom for some bling.

Don't get mad, you know he's right. If blacks weren't brought to America as slaves, then later freed to form their own communities and culture within the US, there wouldn't be any 'gangsta rap' or other musical types, highly paid black athletes, black comedians/actors and other popular positions containing a high number of African Americans. Instead of towing the usual line of American blacks blaming every misfortune on 'whitey' from racism to foot fungus, he realizes that none of this would be possible for him had they not been enslaved. He took something that many people use a crutch and turned it around, moving beyond that fact and making something out of himself instead of wallowing.

I think it's really funny though that even though every culture that's ever existed on earth HAS experienced slavery forced upon them by another group, and that it STILL CONTINUES TODAY, there's a group of people that demand payment for something they themselves never experienced. Why is it that you can't put this to rest? And better yet, why haven't you addressed the even more oppressive, brutal and casualty heavy arab side of the slave trade, WHICH CONTINUED INTO THE 20th CENTURY! No no, only white people are guilty and should be made to whip themselves ceaselessly over the subject. What a joke.

i know there are those who agree with him, Hitler, perhaps, Bin Laden, definitely slave master's descendents who are benefitting so magnanimously from our free labor, inventions and production. For those others that agree with Soulja, its like this, a woman who was raped and gets pregnant does not thank the rapist, but the baby is the blessing that takes away the shame. We were raped but the opportunities afforded us, despite the struggles to utilize them and the disdain we face, are the upside. The fact that we survived the horror to reap the blessings is a testament to our spirit and determination IN SPITE of the slave masters who try to kill us yet. We are not thankful for them, but for the lessons we learned because of their cruelty. Sadly there are lots of Soulja's and his slave masters still out there -- only their call rap music producers now.

This is just a kid who has literally sold his soul to the devil. It's not the slave masters you should be praising it is your fans. If it wasn't for god and your fans you would not be where you are. I am ashamed my kids enjoy your unintelligible ramblings. They had tats in Africa it was tribal makings of honor, dignity, bravery, and beauty. When People of color came to the States the tats stated ownership. By the way Africa is the richest continent on the face of planet ,it has gold, black gold, many precious and semi-precious gemstones including Diamonds!!! The the most precious commodity is the gifted and beautiful people. Pick up a book and Crank that!!! You could have been a King ,you settled for a Soulja.

i don't blame soulja boy. who i blame is the record company who signed him, the people who buy his records making him think he is hiphop. Listen, i think hiphop should be like NBA, you have to be in college to get drafted. In college you learn black history, poetry, past hiphop, make good grades in them subjects then a record company can sign you. except if you have raw talent like kobe, i mean Lupe Fiasco. ignorant Muthfukers like souja boy won't be making ridiculous statements like that on slavery if it was so and homies in the hood would get their asses to school if they wanna rap.
