Star Trak Rapper Linked to Double Murder

Rapper Rosco P. Coldchain, signed to the Neptunes' Star Trak label, has been arrested for his alleged involvement in a double homicide. Born Amin Porter, the North Philadelphia performer has been linked to the shooting death of two men.

According to reports, the victims were gunned down Thursday evening and both later died in Philadelphia's Frankford Hospital-Torresdale. Although no public information regarding the victims' identities have been released, one is believed to have been 18-years-old.

Police searched the area following the shooting and questioned two men, including Rosco. He was later arrested in connection with the crime, but has not been formerly charged.

The rapper spoke in an interview earlier this year about his legal troubles contributing to his career set-backs but said that he gained new focus. "I'm not holding back this year. I have been preoccupied with life, and wasn't concerned with this rap s---. Now my priorities have been redirected and refocused," he said.

Since signing with Star Trak entertainment, Rosco has collaborated with label mates The Clipse and Pharrell Williams. He released the mixtape, 'There Will Be Blood,' in October.

This is 2009 and "WE" still don't know how to spell in Standard English.
Latifah, the word is spelled: FORMALLY - not FORMERLY. Formally, means formal. Formerly, means prevous. Please remember that.

Oh yeah, big shock, these rappers that think they're cool being a thug, what a bunch of losers. They certainly don't have the style that many of the earlier R&B "musicians" had. I don't even call this stuff "music". Roscoe, DMX, Tupac, Biggie, R-Kelly, geez, why is cool to be such losers? How can people idolize such trash?

Oh, and that change isn't going to happen if some scholarly white person says it, so you should get on that.

universalic200, I don't mean this as an attack, but if you and your black friends are so upset by the way people act towards blacks, why don't you change the way others view your people? Why don't you do something to change things like MLK jr did? Why not help your people see that they are headed in the wrong direction? This isn't what all of those civil rights activists died for. I see white celebrities all the time doing commercials for charities or giving money for good causes, like when Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie built those houses for Katrina victims. If you all are so proud of your people, Why don't you get back to your roots? Why don't you go live in Africa for a week and see what hard times are really like? Why don't you give money to the starving and dying children in Africa instead of trying to buy those new shoes or that sweet grill or some new rims or chains?
Yes, blacks and whites both commit many crimes, but I see more white people doing good than black people. A person isn't measured by the bad they do in life, but should be measured by the good they do.
And when am I going to see a black person that wants to start a real career? Too many young black people want to be rappers or basketball players. Not enough have real career goals like a doctor or an accountant or a veterinarian. They all spit off a few raps and spend their time playing some sport instead of doing school work or trying to go to college. All of the millions of dollars that go to financial aid programs so that blacks can go to college is wasted. Colleges have to have a certain black:white ratio, so when blacks don't apply for colleges, none of the other races can get in. So not only are they screwing their own race and families and futures, but they're screwing the future of the youth of other races. It is so easy for a black person to get into college now and I get so so sad when I see them wasting away their chance to do something with their lives because they want to get rich quick by playing ball or by rapping.
An education is the best thing a person can have, and too too too many black people waste it away. They have the chance to better themselves for free while there are children and Africa who will never have the chance to go to school. Not even just in Africa, but all over the world as well.
On the music note, the only good black music that there ever was came from the 50's and 60's. The Temptations own rap and hip hop.

This is bound to help his reputation and build up his street cred - since he is already a celeb, nothing short of live video of him committing a crime will convict him.
