To cap off all the success that he's achieved in 2008, hip-hop superstar Lil Wayne will be headlining CNN's holiday extravaganza on New Year's Eve (Dec. 31). While the actual event will take place in Times Square in New York City, Lil Wayne will be performing live from Atlanta along with a list of other artists located in remote locations across the United States: Lynyrd Skynyrd from Pikeville, Ky., My Morning Jacket from New York, Coolio from Las Vegas, 3 Doors Down from Duluth, Ga., and Hinder from Dayton,OH. Hosted by Anderson Cooper and comedian Kathy Griffin, the New Year's Eve special will air live on CNN.
As a follow-up to his multi-platinum selling album "Tha Carter III," Lil Wayne is currently circling the globe with his "I Am Music" tour that includes T-Pain, Keyshia Cole and rising indie-rap stars Gym Class Heroes.
