Nas Confirms Upcoming Project is a Baby Boy

Queensbridge, N.Y. emcee Nas recently took to his Global Grind blog to express his excitement over the news that he and wife Kelis are expecting their first child together .... and it's a boy!

The rapper, who admitted that he's not accustomed to blogging, delivered a message to his fans last week. "The internet seems to be more excited than I am. It's crazy! I got too much to think about, and I didn't wanna leave all my fans out the loop," Nas said regarding the announcement that he and Kelis are expecting their first bundle of joy together. The rapper enthusiastically confirmed the sex of the unborn child: "I'm having my first SON!!!!!"

Nas went on to confirm that he's working on an album with Damien Marley, due in the coming months. He'll also hit the road once again, in support of his 2008 'Untitled' album.
