Crooked I Shot in Los Angeles

According to several sources, Long Beach, CA rapper Crooked I was shot in Los Angeles Friday night.

While reports are still sketchy, a source close to the rapper confirmed that he had been "hurt badly, but he's alive."

Fellow LA rapper G. Malone wrote via Twitter that "Something happened...which they ain't explaining, but Crooked is OK. He is at home in fine condition." Malone avoided confirmation of the shooting, saying "I'm not saying Crooked did or didn't get shot, n----- don't know. I'm just saying he isn't dead nor is he dying. Someone had media saying he was fatally wounded. That's not true."

The rumor mill was buzzing about Crooked's shooting all weekend, but the rapper kept silent until Sunday, when he called DJ Vlad to state that he was alive and well.

"Physically I'm good," he told Vlad. "Mentally I'm kind of in a f---ed up place right now, but physically I'm good."

When asked to describe the circumstances of the situation, Crooked said simply "I was just at the wrong place, wrong time...right now I'm just trying to get to the bottom of it. When s--- like that pops off, it's kinda better to just leave it where it happened, you know?"

He remained vague for the rest of the call, refusing to either confirm the shooting or identify the shooters, saying, "I don't want nobody getting no fame off of nothing, bringing negativity towards me. I'm good. I just want to get to the bottom of this s---, you know, and just keep moving. "

but in closing yep who cares? crooked I? never heard of him, He isnt chill, and doesnt rhyme with the time. The funny thing is if you check record sales its young white kids buying this stuff. Music it isnt, most of these guys couldnt play a real instrument if they had too. Give 50 cent a guitar and ask him to shred like Anugs lol. bet he cant. Or Dr Dre, set him up with a drum kit and hed be clueless. Snoop however is da shit lol. About the only rapper i do like. But its because Snoop has style and though Gangsta somehow his presence is too cool lol. But these guys from da hood youve never heard of? a dime a dozen. And with that im Out. Peace.

ok while im at it i guess i have to post one more, Malcom X really didnt like White people, and was a muslim, He went there to make a movie and was surpised to find that most of the muslims there were white. His attitude changed a bit and realized not all white people were bad. His perspective changed and became to realize that people are good and bad because they are, not because of color.

tru that is one thing you should realize, not all people hate a group to hate it, but some from that group make it so because so many wont quit the lifesytle. Better yourself and realize that some are good and some are bad. and they come in all differenet colors, its not a us and them

Oh and crooked? Lose the chain, it went out in the 80s With Marky Mark, oh wait that was a white guy lol. His music wasnt really all that bad, 80s and 90s rap was actually not too bad.

but todays rap is just missing a c in front of it

and one more thing LA? Uh Rap music? Gangsta probably? Gee what kind of crowd did that attract? Again ever since O got elected we see more and more of this BS everyday. Some blame him because he is black. but he is white also. But ever since O got elected more and more of this comes out. But the funny thing is its mostly all race related like they want us to start something against each other.

Change? all i see is more of people hating each other for lame reasons. But I will stand by this, Almost all Rappers and I mean most, end up like this Crooked I. It doesnt promote anything but Getting Drunk or Crunk Smoking weed, Having sex with women who mean nothing and bling. Watch the videos and tell me different. You want change? then change your image. who knows it could work.

uh true it isnt us against them, check the record? since when did say a metal band ever have the same thing happen? and if it did? more than a few times? uh no. it happens in Rap music all the time. not all of them but most of them. and it isnt one against another. you say its rasict comments but i bet the shooter was the same race as crooked I. How much you wanna bet on that one. Read your Blogs blame the man, but in the end blame yourself for not being a better person and rising above it. It is never an us against them. If you feel that then maybe you should leave here.

yes jason you are correct, every time they say someone shot in the music business, it turns out to be a rapper. Rap is crap all it is is Rhyming over and over and no real music just stealing samples of and putting it in tracks and saying its from da street. Im here to say that here today Im from the street its really neat, and if you say that im not cool then like mr t i pity the fool lol. Anyway these guys try to get out of where they are but they dont, money makes them worse. and the same goes for me i click on a link and read about someone ive never heard of. every time i see on aol how some famous musican has done this or that it someone I have never heard of, or some old guy from a jazz band Ive never heard of. Its not really that we dont care, but you make it like we should all know them lol. Most rappers end up with what they deserve love of money and sex and violence gets them killed one day.

These comments are a wake up to all you brothers and sisters out there(especially the younger the generation)who are in denial about what and how THEY view and think about us.We want to walk around looking at life through "rose-colored"glasses on Fantasy Island instead taking a walk down reality road.Bottom line it's us against them. The same bigots posting these neo-racists comments are generally the same people we go to for employment, fair housing, government grants, justice, etc.Thats why I love blogs because through them i get a chance to see "The Knights"unveil there mask and really show their true
selves.I hope other brothers of the vanguard get hip.

I guess what he's trying to say is that he was just another innocent bystander. What a shock! I wish we could bring back accountability, but maybe that's just my oppinion.
