Divorces are never pretty and it looks like things are about to get ugly between rap icon Nas and his pregnant, soon to be ex-wife, Kelis. According to reports, Nas does not want to pay his estranged (and, just a reminder, pregnant!) wife a dime in spousal support. After being reportedly separated for a few weeks, Kelis, who's now almost eight months pregnant, filed for a divorce on April 30. The singer cited "irreconcilable" differences and was seeking child support, spousal support and joint custody of the pair's unborn child, but Nas has asked a judge to deny her spousal support request. The rapper is also requesting that Kelis pay her own legal fees.

umm....she filed for divorce and makes enough money, on what i personally consider b music, but others like, "pay for your own divorce and legal fees". getting a divorce when your 8 months pregnant is either hormonal or you obviously feel you can financially and emotionally support a child by yourself. i'm not even going to talk about birth class issues in dating and marrying. i'll just make it simple. if the girl say she is from new york and you have not know her your whole life as a general rule, leave her alone.

You can't recieve much child support AND get welfare...so get educated.
People like Kelis and Nas go through tough situations where either party may act selfish. We all get that way so it is better to have understanding than to talk a lot of trash. It is more productive.

Why do you say "HE" must have cheated??? Women cheat, too ya know. Did you even consider the possibility of the baby not being his? Yes, as sad as it is, it's not as if she's an unknown celebrity. She filed for the divorce...let her fend for herself, I say, and I'm a mother of 5. I didn't ask my ex-husband for spousal support or to pay MY legal fees!! I filed, so I paid. Plain and simple.

OK, two things: #1. These people aren't "stars". Stars are people who have talent and are famous for it. hey what rock do you live under NAS has been around well over 10 years and also been in movies and his wife Kelis has had plenty of music on the charts so catch up with the times before you make comments about people not being stars cause you havent heard of them and as for any support he just doenst want to pay spousal support there was no mention of child support so really read the article thoroughly before making racist comments on that one as well like there isnt white women in the trailer parks where their redneck husband/boyfriend didnt run off for good after they found out about the pregnancy. peace out

Get a grip and a life! #1 - I am not into rap like that and I know who both of them are! and as far as talent, anything that you do well and get paid for it is talent! I don't think that Carrot top, Soldier boy or Sarah Silverman has talent, but that's my opinion and it don't stop them from doing what they do or getting paid for it! So stop hating!
As far as him not giving her spousal support, it should be a private issue and as long as he's taking care of his child that's all that is important.
