Bubba Sparxxx Busted on Drug Possession Charge

Atlanta-based rapper Bubba Sparxxx was arrested last week at a Hooter's restaurant for possession of narcotics. The 32-year-old was spotted at a Clearwater, Fla., restaurant branch, being handed the prescription drug Tranxene.

According to TMZ, an off-duty police officer noticed the transaction. A search of the rapper's person revealed the pills, hidden in his wallet. Sparxxx, born Warren Anderson Mathis, was arrested on a felony possession of a controlled substance charge. He was released Monday after posting $2,000 bail.

Tranxene is an anti-anxiety pill used to treat both short and long-term anxiety disorders. The drug is also used to aid symptoms brought on by alcohol withdrawals, and can be used to treat epilepsy. Side effects of the drug include blurred vision, fatigue, mental confusion and genital or urinary tract disorders.

Sparxxx is best known as the protege of super producer Timbaland. His most popular singles include 'Ugly' and 'Ms. New Booty,' which peaked at No. 7 on the Billboard Hot 100 charts.

That's the dumbest comment by far. A rapper is a vocalist. A vocalist is a type of musician. You do not have to play an instrument to be classified "musician". Please never refer to ANYTHING as ignorant again before you graduate from some sort of institution.

rap is not music ITS NOISE" You all obviously don't know what you are talking about. If you hate rap, then why are you reading an article ABOUT A RAPPER? I AM A TRAINED MUSICIAN! I have a degree in musican, plus I teach music to middle school students. Am I of low intelligents? Not hardly! My personal music library consist in a lot of rappers and it doesn't determine my level of intelligents. I teach kids on various instruments from their beginnings umtil they are ready for high school. I also show my students the various ways of composing,arranging, and producing through technology.My students know that I am not narrow-minded to various genres of music.We may have our preferences of a particular genre, but we don't discriminate!

I still don't understand why so many people that hate rap read and post comments about rappers, if I don't like something (i.e. heavy metal) I don't spend my time reading and commenting about it.
