Drake Draws Big Names and Crowd at New York Concert

Everyone's favorite rapper of the moment, Aubrey Graham aka Drake, drew an intense crowd of girls, as expected, along with a curious mix of industry elite last night when he took over New York City's popular S.O.B.s as part of Hot 97's "Who's Next" concert series.

Kanye West, Talib Kweli, MC Lyte, Warner Music Group head honcho Lyor Cohen, BET's Stephen Hill, DJ Green Lantern, Ryan Leslie, The Alchemist, a host of bloggers and random record label folk were all in attendance at the event, which was hosted by radio personality Peter Rosenberg.

The Toronto-based rapper did not disappoint as he blessed fans with tracks off his most recent mixtape, 'So Far Gone.' Drake ran through 'Successful,' 'November 18th,' 'Sooner Than Later,' and 'Say What's Real' as the crowd uttered every word off the unsigned(?) rapper's underground releases. Houston's finest Bun B was also in attendance and joined him onstage for 'Uptown.'

Drake teased the crowd, which was mostly excited girls, when he slowed things down a bit. The rapper joked about how he "gets in the mood" and instructed the DJ to play a few choice songs, including R. Kelly's 'Feelin' On Ya Booty' and newcomer Jeremih's 'Birthday Sex.'

"This is my anthem when I really want to f--- the s--- outta you," Drake said, turning up the dial on rapper/sex symbol as he cued up Usher's 'Can You Handle It.' The rapper gave the ladies a little taste of his vocals when he performed 'Brand New' before launching into his hit 'Best I Ever Had.' Drake wrapped up the evening with the Young Money track 'Every Girl.'

Last night's performance marked the end of the actor-turned-rapper's club tour, but Drake fans might see him alongside some heavy hitters this summer. The rapper hopes to team up with Jay-Z, Lil Wayne and Young Jeezy on a pending megatour.
