Pitbull Punches Fan Onstage for 'Making it Rain'

Video footage has just surfaced of Miami rapper Pitbull knocking out a fan at a recent concert in Colorado. The video, which was posted on YouTube, clearly shows the fan climbing onstage and throwing money in Pitbull's face, during the song 'Bojangles,' then getting knocked back into the crowd by a punch to the head.

"They don't show the whole clip of what happened," Pitbull told MTV. "Before the song 'Bojangles,' I play a whole set and I only get three breaks. I was going into 'Bojangles' and this mutha----a had already made it rain, like, three times. He threw a gang of money in the air and I was scooting the money, giving it to the crowd. I didn't touch the money, but I was scooting it, giving it to the crowd."

The rapper contends that he gave the man a warning to stop "making it rain," then helped the man onstage to make a point.

"I'm bringing him onstage to say, 'Look, this the clown that's gonna f--- up your show." Pit said. "I'm getting rid of him. I'm letting y'all know right now. Don't nobody else make it rain.' When I bring the mutha----a up on the stage, he throws a wad of money in my face. When he did that, that's when natural reaction ... natural instinct kicked in."

At that point, Pitbull can clearly be seen laying the man out, and continuing the song without missing a beat. The fan was then lead out of the show by security, leaving Pit to continue his performance.

"He made me feel [wild] like I felt back in the day." Pitbull continued. "I'm in a profession now. I'm here to entertain. ... I heard he was a fan and he drove from a long way. When I saw the video, I said, 'Hell nah. He knew exactly what he was doing.' In any country when you throw something in somebody's face, it's disrespectful. When I looked at the tape, you could see he did that and was waiting like, 'What now? Yeah mutha----a, I just threw a wad in your face.' "

Pitbull's upcoming album 'Rebelution' is scheduled for release this fall.

u know i have to agree with the lawsuit bc for this reason alone he got him on stage the hit him thats bs if he was throwing money and causeing issues then get him out but lay him out is not cool and u know im very disapointed that someone who is professional would be that stupid to act like that and then say he had a warning before the incident typical that the video dont show that just him helping him get on stage and then getting money thrown at him then him getting hit no class if u wanna know the truth

What really surprises me, is that anyone would actually comment on stories like these. Who really cares whether this person hit someone they "pulled onstage" anyway. People should really get their priorities staright. Just for the record, I don't like rap/ hip hop music, but then again, my parents didn't like what I liked either. Let the youth like what they want. One day, they'll more than likely move on to something else anyway.

It's time to stop rewarding the idiots of our society with attention (and money.) That goes for most of what's on reality tv, and for anyone who can't make it through a sentence without having to be bleeped (including posters on comment boards.)

Pit Bull is an idiot and, if the fan files charges, shud be arrested for assault. Additionally, the security personnel at the concert can also be charged with abetting the assault because they forcibly ejected the fan instead of calling for medical aid and calling the police. True, the fan was disruptive and shud not have gone one stage earlier, but this time Pit Bull deliberately asked him up on stage and even assisted him up. This shows a possible premeditation on Pit Bull's part, changing the simple assault to felony assault. And as to PB's statement that insulting someone is grounds for hitting him - WRONG! In every state & by federal law, as well as thousands of court decisions - no amount of insults, short of actually assaulting or attempting to insult the person being insulted, is grounds for physical retaliation. However, we all know that this will all be settled out of court by a large sum of money being given to the assaulted fan in return for him not filing charges or sueing.
