Foxy Brown, Toni Braxton in Serious Tax Trouble

Rapper Foxy Brown and singer Toni Braxton are in serious tax trouble, according to recent reports.

Foxy is being sued by the IRS for owing $641,558 in federal taxes to the state of New York. In June, the IRS filed tax lien documents against Foxy for missing tax payments from 2003 to 2006.

The Brooklyn MC was also the center of a recent prison scandal which caused several top corrections officials to resign, amidst allegations that inmates like herself received better treatment than the general population.

No stranger to financial trouble, Braxton and husband Keri Lewis have been hit with lien documents by the state of California, and are accused of owing $79,315 in back taxes. Braxton filed for bankruptcy protection in 1998, owing over $1 million, despite having sold over 15 million albums worldwide, grossing well over $170 million.

veemee69, you are quite correct but the problem, as someone touched on, is that the people who write these stories appear to have some holes in their educations. I see incorrect spelling, improper punctuation and incomplete sentences (and thoughts) all the time. In the very first line it says,"Foxy is being sued by the IRS for owing $641,558 in federal taxes to the state of New York." Well, it's either the IRS or the State of New York... or both. Federal taxes are not collected by the state. The confusion of that sentence alone can have three possible outcomes:

1) She owes $641,558 in federal taxes.
2) She owes $641,558 in taxes to the state of New York
3) She owes $641,558 in federal and state taxes

It's pathetic that AOL has writers who perpetuate illiteracy.

So let me get this straight. Not paying taxes is "typical behavior" for Black people? LMAO! I wonder if you racists/bigots even stop to actually THINK before you post these blanket statements. Me? I love to be RIGHT. That's why you will NEVER hear me say "All these (fill in the blanks)people do this or that". I don't KNOW without a shadow of a doubt what a WHOLE group (that more than likely numbers into the millions at the least). But then again, that's the mark of a TRUE racist/bigot. Any etnic group you don't like will have NO redeeming qualities. Everybody is scum except for YOUR group. Well let me drop a few names who have had trouble with the IRS: Burt Reynolds,Judy Garland,Joe Francis (Girls Gone Wild),Richard Hatch (Survivor),Luciano Pavarotti,Al Capone,Martha Stewart, and the infamous Queen Of Mean herself,Leona Helmsley. "We don't pay taxes. Only the little people pay taxes.Yikes!! All of those Black people with tax problems. They MUST be Black, because that's "typical behavior" according to you.

Hey Toni, you could take some online surveys to help you pay back those taxes.

"patriots" (ironic), you are truly nuts. The Supreme Court has nothing to do with federal tax liability. You are only (loosely) correct in the IRS not "mandating" or being "law." Congress makes tax laws, the IRS simply applies/enforces the law. And I guess you meant W-4 form, since you can't fill out a W-2; that's what your employer(s) uses to report your taxes on. I wonder how you think you're being served/protected by your country without anyone paying taxes? You are beyond confused.

It never fails. Write anything good or bad about anyone who is not white and you can expect comments from ignorant,low-life racists who are probably doing a lot worse than the pople in the article. In their mind, they probably think they are doing better....again showing their ignorance. The fact is, there are so many minorities doing better than you and you just can't stand it. Period.

You said it MAXDUDS...Cynthia's low life dumb a++ couldn't wait to comment. The only ones who seem to hide behind that race card are BIGOTS like her, using it as an excuse for her failures and need to blame an entire race. I try to keep kids away from nuts like that. Their poison to anyone who puts up with them.
