Video game company EA Sports is adding an impressive hip-hop roster to a few of their upcoming games. Rappers Nas, Snoop, and Sean "Diddy" Combs will appear on soundtracks for Madden NFL, NBA Live and FIFA 10.Nas and Diddy's 2001 single 'Hate Me Now,' and Snoop's re-make of Slick Rick's 'Lodi Dodi' will both appear on the Madden 2010 soundtrack. The track listing, released earlier this week by EA Sports, features an impressive roster of hip-hop artists including veterans Tupac Shakur, Public Enemy and the Beastie Boys.
"Each EA Sports game is unique to every gamer that picks up the controller, we wanted to make sure the music matched each of those unique experiences," Steve Schnur, EA Sports executive, said of music and marketing. "With the big songs and huge bands in Madden NFL bringing back the soul of the game to NBA Live tapping into the hard hitting metal tracks of NHL and the international flavor of FIFA this year's EA Sports soundtrack line up aligns with each of the game's unique styles."
EA Sports is the world's leading interactive software brand posting a 2009 fiscal revenue of $4.2 billion dollars.
