Ah, the spoils of success. Rapper/actor/entrepreneur Chris "Ludacris" Bridges is taking his prolific recording career (along with a solid acting and endorsement game) to the biggest show in town: Creative Artists Agency. Variety reports that Luda has signed on for the whole shebang and will receive representation in music, acting, endorsements and philanthropy. With such a wide net cast over multiple industries, it's no surprise that Luda wanted to make the jump to a big time agency. He's about to appear in 'Gamer' -- an action starring his 'RocknRolla' co-star Gerard Butler -- that hits screens September 4.
"It is about controlling peoples' minds and playing them in a video game," Ludacris told Reuters about the new movie. "I look at projects regardless of them being independent or big budget. I like being in involved in what I feel are life changing projects."
While increasingly tackling the big screen, Luda is also planning to launch a TAG fragrance with Procter & Gamble while marketing a new cognac called Conjure. CAA will handle all these projects along with the mogul's endorsement deals with AT&T, Puma, Pontiac and Pepsi.
With clients such as Steven Spielberg, George Clooney, Oprah, Brad Pitt, Will Smith and LeBron James, CAA looks to put Ludacris is in some real good company. We'd venture he might be climbing a few notches in that Forbes list next year.
