After months of keeping her pregnancy quiet, it's been revealed that singer/actress Jennifer Hudson gave birth to her first child on Monday evening. Jennifer and fiance David Otunga welcomed a healthy son into the world weighing 7 pounds 14 ounces, whom they named David Daniel Otunga, Jr. (after his father). According to reports, the couple opted to be surprised by their baby's gender, but were prepared with both blue and pink clothes for the newborn.
"The baby is beautiful and perfect," Hudson's rep Lisa Kasteler told PEOPLE. "His parents are ecstatic."
While Jennifer never officially announcing her pregnancy, she sported a pretty obvious bump when she performed at Michael Jackson's memorial service last month.
Following the murder of her mother, brother and nephew in October of last year J Hud has remained out of the public eye, barring special appearances at award shows.
