Kanye West Asked to Leave VMAs After Taylor Swift Rant

According to reports, Kanye West was asked to leave the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards shortly after he unexpectedly rushed the stage and interrupted Taylor Swift's Best Female Video acceptance speech to proclaim that Beyonce's 'Single Ladies' video was one of the "best videos of all time." Swift stood by in disbelief as the camera panned to a stunned Beyonce, who mouthed "Oh Kanye" as the producer/rapper protested the 19-year-old's win. Ironically enough, Beyonce went on to win Video of the Year and asked Swift to come on stage to have a second shot at an acceptance speech.

Prior to his tantrum, Kanye, alongside girlfriend Amber Rose, was photographed on the red carpet swinging a bottle of Hennessy, which was clearly half empty. Photogs also snapped pics of 'Ye and Fall Out Boy's Pete Wentz enjoying the cognac. Following his tirade against Swift, Kanye flipped off the audience before taking his seat next to Rose. He was reportedly asked to leave Radio City Music Hall shortly thereafter.

Kanye needs his ass whooped, real good. He made the people who have/had sympathy for him feel let down. We understand your pain, but you have to STOP and think about what you're doing. That was wrong, he apologized for it and we must move on. If he can't "ack" right in public Momma said "keep your ass at home", "can't bring your ass nowhere". At least this took some spotlight off of Chris Brown.

regardless of the fact it being white or black, it does not make it right......role models start at home.....mr. west should be ashamed for his behavior and i don't condone it and i am black. Beyonce was classy enough to let her do her acceptance speech. folks we gotta realize it's not about black and white, but whether it's just the asshole in a person....his mother would turn over in her grave if she saw this. im sure he was raised better than that.....i think any celebrity wrong doing should not be condoned whether it be black or white...wrong is wrong....it has no color.

Kanye will forever rule your minds cause he knows the game of...no bad publicity. He does go over the top at times but as far as I'm concerned being a true underground hip hop producer with skills (which gives me the right to say this) he f..king saved hip hop

Kanye & Chris: two punks in a pod. Sad. Even sadder are the pathetic & pitiable excuses proffered by "forgiving & understanding" fans who themselves likely abuse women. But what can be expected from those who embrace this "music". Crap by any other name would smell & be the same.

I wasnt defending him I just understood where he was @ the time of hime doing what he did another thing is he has said in several songs he is an Asshole so thanks 4 pointin out the obvious we also know he is an ego maniac what Im saying is to the people calling him a racist and talking about BOYCOTTS thats all rubbish and its funny that the celebs that are talkin the most shit are ones that are just as much assholes as Kanye (except katy Perry she is cool) he voiced his opinion on @ the wrong time and wrong venue thats it and he is also an idiot but thats it

Guess what guys? The bible says every knee shall bow. And this is what happens to arrogant, self absorbed ass-holes who think the world evolves around them. They wind up doing something dumb and stupid like Kanye did and he got knocked the hell off his pedestal. He needs to go to God on this one and be very humble.
