Jay-Z Discusses Previously Unknown Collaboration With Michael Jackson

Jay-Z paid tribute to Michael Jackson in the newest issue of UK music magazine NME, revealing details of a previously unknown collaboration between the God MC and the King of Pop.

According to Hov, Jackson lent his vocals to the chorus of Jay's 2001 hit 'Girls, Girls, Girls' from 'The Blueprint' which was produced by Just Blaze. "He was on my song "Girls, Girls, Girls", singing these background vocals and I didn't even put his name on it," Jay explained in NME.

Jay also worked with MJ on the remix to the Kanye West-produced 'You Rock My World' from Jackson's 2001 album 'Invincible' and surprised the audience at Hot 97's Summer Jam that same year, when he brought the legend out on stage with him.

"He played a concert with me in New York, which was great," Jay continued. "He got up and he walked out and the place went mental, guys were just grabbing their hats and throwing them like, "Aiiiiiiiiiieeeeee!"

While we have yet to find evidence that corroborates Jay's claims regarding "Girls, Girls, Girls," we can kind of, sort of hear a little Michael in there.

"I try to look for the meaning in things that happen, and it was a tragedy that Michael Jackson passed away, especially for his kids," Jay concluded. "But on the other side, I think it gave Michael a chance to be celebrated for the genius he was without all the other stuff in the way, and I don't know if that would ever have happened had he been alive."

We do believe you, we'd just like to hear it from more people.
