Rihanna is making plans for her first major awards show performance since her February altercation with Chris Brown. The R&B singer will perform live November 22 during the American Music Awards, the day before her new album, 'Rated R,' is scheduled to drop. Alicia Keys, Jay-Z and Taylor Swift are also confirmed to take the AMA stage.Although the details have yet to be confirmed, Rihanna will more than likely perform her newest single, 'Russian Roulette,' which has been getting plenty of buzz since hitting the net this week. The edgy lyrics find the pop star comparing a chaotic relationship to the dangerous game that is Russian roulette.
Since that very public quarrel, which landed now ex-boyfriend Brown in court, Rihanna has remained largely below the radar, showing her face to at a handful of events and nightclubs.
Brown, on the other hand, is clearly taking a different route.
The singer -- who was sentenced to five years probation and 180 hours of public service for attacking Rihanna after leaving a pre-Grammy party -- recently took to the New York City airwaves to publicly express his regret for the fight. "I can be certain as Christopher Maurice Brown that it won't happen," he said. "I'm doing my domestic violence counseling classes and I see the hurt that it's put a lot of people through. I've seen the hurt that its put my family through. Whether it's been my family, Rihanna, [or] anybody and I don't want to inflict that on anyone."
Brown, whose single 'Crawl' hit the 'net a day after Rihanna's 'Russian Roulette,' is gearing up for the release of his own album, 'Graffiti,' which is due December 15. He's also planning a 'Fan Appreciation Tour,' which will kick off next month in Houston, Texas.
