Beyonce is running into more trouble overseas due to her revealing clothing and "suggestive" dance moves. The singer is scheduled to perform tomorrow (November 6) at the Red Sea Resort in Port Ghalib, Egypt, but according to reports, some in the conservative country are rallying against her appearance, including claims that she is "satanic."
The organization the Muslim Brotherhood, says Beyonce is merely a ploy to divert citizens' attention. "The government is trying to make people indulge in sin and licentiousness to cover up the other crimes it is committing against them," said Muslim Brotherhood's Hamdi Hassan, who is also an Islamist Member of Egyptian Parliament. "Her provocative dance moves and half-naked outfits could easily stir up reaction from ardent religious and modest people, observers."
Some conservative religious groups also believe the high cost of tickets to the show -- which are up to $400 U.S. dollars, according to reports -- are a disservice to the poverty stricken area.
The religious website Jesus-is-saviour.com also got in on the Beyonce bashing, slamming her claims at being religious. "Beyonce is NO Christian. She is satanic, serving the Devil," said a statement on the site.
Despite the backlash, many are excited about her performance, which will kick off the opening of the Red Sea Resort.
"Beyonce's decision to perform here at Port Ghalib is great news and will only add to the resort's growing reputation as one of the most exciting new luxury holiday destinations in the Middle East," said Ibrahim Saleh, vice president of Al-Kharafi Group, the owner of Port Ghalib Resort Company. "She will have a fantastic time here -- we're looking forward to giving her a five-star welcome."
This isn't the first time Beyonce's clothing and performance has been met with opposition. Officials in Malaysia postponed her October appearance due to claims that the show would be immoral.

Now I have seen it ALL!! I am not a fan of Beyonce, though I applaud her talent. SATANIC??? This "group" of people are otherwise known as a CULT and as a human being, I do not take well to cults. THEN, go on the Internet and search for a Psychiatrist in your area- tell them it's an emergency because you need serious help and then some. A performance accepted in America is not one that is acceptable in all cultures. I am sure that Beyonce and her management team are aware of that. They need to make a decision to keep her safe and to honor the business commitment that they have made. These overdone productions are shocking to the people of other countries. Why is anyone surprised? In this country some people go to these concerts and others don't and that is called a "free" society which is what we live in. Not everyone in America approves of women in skimpy costumes, they just exercise their right not to watch it. These closed societies just want it blocked. Thats the way it is.

The manager of the hotel had to of know that she was a provocative American singer. Now if Beyonce really wanted to impress, she could do an act in traditional muslim female garb (Even though it is rather degrading, in my opinion), and show the government that she isn't 'Satanic'. As for the people attacking her on the religious website, do you REALLY think that Beyonce gives two shits about a cruddy 2-bit religious website? Beyonce was more than likely raised in a religious household, but today's trends have caused her to, technically, sin. That doesn't mean she doesn't believe in the religion.

I don't see what all the fuss is about. Beyonce is nothing. She is married to a producer that brings her songs and she sings them in a studio and he arranges the mix. Then mindless kids and people with no appreciation for real music buy it. For the same reason that 24 hour news is successful, her style of music is successful. It doesn't take much thought and it appeals to the lowest common denominator in our society. Do you think musically inclined people who can read and write music sit down on a saturday and listen to Beyonce? I don't think so.
Is she Satanic? Who cares. If someone wanted to go after the Entertainment industry that shows skin, go after the porn industry. I don't hear these muslim and christian groups going after the 10 billion usd porn indusry. Gee I wonder why? Hypocrits all of em...
