Michael Jackson's legacy will not go unnoticed at this year's Grammys when the awards show honors the King of Pop with a Lifetime Achievement Award. Besides Jackson, seven other artists will receive the award during the ceremony to be held in Los Angeles in January. Since his overdose in June, Jackson's popularity has skyrocketed back to that of the height of his career in the 1980s. October saw the release of the documentary 'This Is It,' which put together behind the scenes footage from the tour he was set to embark on in July. The film opened at Number One and has raked in more than $200 million worldwide making it the top-grossing concert film of all time. The music icon also won four posthumous American Music Awards in November for his 'Number Ones' album, originally released in 2003. "It means a lot because so much work has gone into making these albums," said his brother Jermaine of his AMA win.
Beyonce, Taylor Swift, Lady Gaga, Maxwell and Drake are among some of the stars who received Grammy nods this year. The 52nd annual Grammy Awards will air live Jan. 30 at 8PM EST on CBS.
