Kanye West Serves Homeless at Los Angeles Mission

Rapper Kanye West got into the Christmas spirit by making a surprise appearance at the Los Angeles Mission Saturday (Dec. 26). The Grammy winner, alongside longtime girlfriend Amber Rose, joined other volunteers and served lunch to the homeless, who greeted the Chicago native and took pictures. "It's just important [to give back] when you're very blessed," West told The BoomBox.

West showed up ready to work. He went straight for the kitchen, put on a apron and got on serving duty. "[It's nice] to spread your blessings and take time out, especially during the holidays to appreciate people who never get that appreciation. It makes me feel really good to come out here, [with] my family, and I just thank y'all [the Los Angeles Mission] for allowing us to be apart of this."

The Los Angeles Mission is a nonprofit organization that has been serving the homeless for more than 70 years. Located in L.A.'s downtown Skid Row district, the organization offers employment, transitional services and rehabilitation to those struggling with substance abuse.

I have never seen as much spam as on this article. WTF?

Anyway, Kanye is still a piece of $#!+. And I don't even like Taylor Swift, but that was just flat out disrespectful.

Marsh, I am pretty sure I said Kayne's "actions are unforgivable" and I don't believe there is a global effort to ensure Kayne ends up on "skid row." But if making it into a drama is what makes you happy, please feel free to continue to add the dramatics and twist the words of us all! Anything to please YOU! Guess you must be related to Kayne, afterall, it would appear that it is YOUR feelings that are most important here.

Ok kscraig, I guess we'll have to agree to disagree on this one. I think if anyone else besides Beyonce would have won the award for best video that night Kanye would have done the same thing. It may have been easier for him because it was Taylor Swift though. I guess there are a lot of people like you that believes he desreves no forgiveness and that he should stay in the doghouse forever. And there are those that wouldn't be satisfied until he ends up on skid row as well. He apologized for what he did. He also apologized to Tayor and her mother and they've accepted it, so I guess that's all that really matters.

Not everyone sees him as the "Evil Black man", some of us just see him for what he is, self-centered and embarrassingly childish, no matter what the color of his skin. And yes, he did target Taylor Swift. Although I am not a huge fan of Taylor Swift, his behavior was directed at her, not an entire audience and his actions were unforgivable. No apology can make up for Kayne's humiliating and degrading her like he did.

Kanye was indeed an asshole that night. He was being his usual spoiled self. However I don't believe that he "targeted" Taylor Swift. If you'll recall he said to her that he was happy for her and that he will let her speak (I know, the audacity), then he proceeded to be even more "offensive". I'm just asking how long is he going to be "shunned" as the Evil Black man that stole the very young, blond and innocent girl's glory? He hasn't gotten a free pass from anyone, nor should he have. Again I'll just say that I believe that Kanye knows that he has been out of line and is trying to find ways to show amends.
