Jay-Z, Beyonce to Take Each Other's Last Names

It looks like Jay-Z will take Beyonce's last name -- if you believe the rumormill, that is. According to the British tabloid, The Daily Star, Jay will carry on his wife's family name, Knowles, by adding it to his own.

The change will allegedly take place to keep the Knowles' name alive since Beyonce's parents only have daughters. Ironically this move comes just in time as Beyonce's mother Tina, filed for divorce amid claims of her husband Matthew's alleged infidelity. "They want to keep Knowles because Beyonce's parents didn't have any sons and they're keen to keep the name going strong," a source told the paper. "Especially if they don't produce any children themselves."

Jay, born Shawn Carter will become Shawn Knowles-Carter while his wife will become Beyonce Knowles-Carter. Although the names do have a nice ring to them, neither superstar has substantiated the claim. The notoriously private couple tied the knot in April of 2008 at a small ceremony in Jay's New York City apartment.

voguejoy.com, you should be stopped. One ad would do. You dont have to be obnoxious and take up a whole page advertising something that has nothing to do with this article. I don't mind ads on the comment boards, but be a little more restrained, please. AOl, please do something about this!

We can only wait to see if it is true or not. On a bright note, When I clicked on ! to report the ads, they disappeared. Wish that would happen on all the pages aol allows this crap on. Since aol is the one who did away with their message boards so that we have to post about these news stories, and nothing else, I think they are the ones paying the people who post the ads.

HER FATHER IS NOT DEAD & IF HE IS CHEATING LIKE HIS WIFE IS CLAIMING ,THEN THIER IS A CHANCE THAT HE MAY STIL HAVE A BOY, IN WHICH HE WILL CARRY THE LAST NAME OF KNOWLES.THIS NAME CARRY THING IS A STUNT.SINCE HER DAD IS STILL KICKING & CHEATING.

I agree. I don't think Jay-Z will change his last name. Beyonce can keep HER last name, Knowles and add it to Carter, Jay-Z's last name.

And I second the notion regarding the spam ads. I scrolled through an entire page of the same ad! AOL, you need to take control and prevent people from posting these damned ads! This is a blog site, not a site for advertising more overpriced junk!

Thats a pretty cool idea. My name is kinda dying too considering all the guys are having daughters and we're a small family anyway. But anyway we'll never know if this rumor is true to much later. Like another poster said J & B are pretty quiet about how they live which is cool. I mean who needs to know things about them every waking minute.

Also I second, third and fifth the notion that somethin has to be done about all these spam ads, i mean geez. I really dont understand where its all coming from.
