Virginia rapper Skillz' annual 'Rap Up' reports have become an institution. Every year, we wait to hear Skillz' take on the year in rhyme, and this year we had a lot to laugh/shake our heads at. Drake, Kanye West, Lil Wayne, T.I., Jay-Z, the Black Eyed Peas vs. Perez Hilton, and Lady Gaga all made the cut this year, but some incidents received more attention; such as Lil Mama's stunt during Jay-Z and Alicia Keys' MTV performance, and Tiger Woods' issues with monogamy.
"The idiot of the year is Tiger Woods/Can you say fail?/Who else is named Tiger/Why would you leave your name on the voicemail?" Skillz spit, before going in on Lil Mama. "And we was all shaking our heads at Lil Mama/ Like, why was you on stage/Nobody gave you a que/And with a head that big/You should have thought that through."
Skillz also touched on Chris Brown's assault of ex-girlfriend Rihanna, criticizing the pair for the way they both manipulated the media after the attack. "Chris Brown, now that's my guy/But how he do an interview, and all y'all notice was the bow tie?" Skillz quipped. "The media went hard/Chris you want us to forget/Just say what really happened in the car/Rihanna, she kept quiet/Until she had an album to sell/But we still ain't buy it."
Other 2009 events mentioned included Nas and Kelis' divorce, the Rick Ross and 50 Cent beef and the death of the King of Pop.
