Janet Jackson and Jermaine Dupri's long-term romance came to an end last year, but the duo will put their personal differences aside to make sweet music for Janet's upcoming 2010 album. Producer and songwriter Bryan-Michael Cox told RapUp.com that he will join Dupri to complete work on the LP, which has been in production for a few months now. "It's going to be hot," Cox said. "That's all I can say so far." The new project will be Janet's 11th studio album, a follow up to her 2008 release 'Discipline.' The singer has spent time in the studio working on the album with producers Kendrick 'WyldCard' Dean and Rodney "Darkchild" Jenkins. In October, Jenkins told MTV that fans should expect an emotionally-driven album from the songstress, in light of recent changes in her life.
"You gotta understand, she lost her brother. She was in a relationship for seven years that's over now. There's things that she told me that I didn't even realize," Jenkins said. "You know, certain [things] like self-esteem that I didn't even realize that she dealt with for years that you know ... She's working on her book and she'll deal with that in her book, but also in songs, certain songs we're dealing with that head on."
Janet took a break from working on the album this week to add her vocals to the celebrity-studded remake of Michael Jackson's song 'We Are the World.' She was commissioned to sing her brother's lyrics under the direction of Quincy Jones and Lionel Richie. In addition to her musical endeavors, Janet will also appear in the upcoming Tyler Perry film 'Why Did I Get Married Too?' which hit theaters on April 2. There is no official title or release date for her upcoming album as yet.

I like Janet, but she hasn't had a Top 10 hit since
2001. She ruled the charts from 86-01, but the 3 cd's, she has done since 2004, have flopped. It is called "getting older". Whitney Houston, Madonna, have found that out. The people who bought their music in the 80's 90's, pretty much don't buy CD'S anymore. The young people today, listen to garbage.
That is the reality.

First off, the music we listen to is not garbage. Times have changed since the 80's and 90's. Music is a form of art and last time I checked, art changes daily. So please do not insult what we listen to and what we write and how we express ourselves. Of course you are entitled to your opinion, no one said you werent, but don't insult us. You might not like something but say that, don't say its garbage.

It's a blessing to " get old". It's good to see that inspite of everything Janet has been through she is still striving to enjoy her life and her career. Regardless of how much money or fame a person may have people are still just people. All of us should strive to LIVE life until the day we die.
