On Friday (March 26), T.I. completed the official terms of his 366-day prison sentence, stemming from a 2007 illegal gun possession charge, according to the Federal Bureau of Prisons. T.I. began serving his prison sentence last May, but was released to an Atlanta halfway house in December, before finally returning home to finish the remaining months of his sentence. Fifteen percent of T.I.'s sentence was eligible for reduction if the Atlanta rapper displayed good behavior behind bars since his sentence exceeded a year.
Now, TMZ reports T.I. will still be required to function under 23 days of "supervised release." Tip will be hit with a high school-style curfew, which will see him safely at home by 11PM, or 1AM if he is booked for a performance. In addition to the mandatory curfew, he is also expected to complete an additional 400 hours of community service and remain on probation for three years. Prior to his jail sentence, Tip cut a deal with prosecutors, that had him complete an estimated 1,000 of his 1,500 hours of community service before his sentencing for a jail term with an early release option. "...I have a long road of redemption to travel," he told the press before his incarceration. "I am dedicated and committed to that."
T.I. has been working steadily on his upcoming album, since relocating to the Atlanta halfway house in December. He dropped the aptly-titled single, 'I'm Back' earlier this month, and is promoting Grand Hustle artist B.o.B., who will release his debut album 'The Adventures of Bobby Ray,' on May 25.
