Erykah Badu Bares All in 'Window Seat' Video

Commonly described as one of the more eccentric contemporary songstresses, Erykah Badu's latest video will surely keep people talking. Badu casually strips off her clothes as she takes a stroll through the streets in the video for her latest single 'Window Seat' off her upcoming album, 'New Amerykah Part Two (Return of the Ankh).'

Starting off in a dark trench coat and sunglasses, the singer peels off layers of clothing, revealing a tattoo on her upper back that reads "Evolving" and winds up completely nude before being shot down. The video -- directed by Coodie Rock and inspired by Brooklyn-based duo Matt and Kim -- ends with Badu explaining that "they who play it safe are quick to assassinate what they do not understand."

Check out the video after the jump.

Why must we as black people continue to make fools of ourselves? I love Erykah Badu, but she could have made a better video than that it was uncalled for. She is a made artist why pull stunts for publicity?

I've always liked Badu and I still do but I don't understand the nudity combined with the deep message. We have become abhorrent as a nation, however, part of that is our obsession with women showing more and more of their bodies to those who do not honor the viewing. this video has person pain in it to me like a marriage breakup over another women or something disguised in a deep message. I've always respected Badu as not falling into the peek a boo trap, that's all. How attractive she's always looked in her African attire, right? Why this?

She didn't take it too far. That was perfect. A bold artistic statement. Bravo Erykah!
