Chris Brown Having Trouble Locking Venue for 21st B-day

It's been over a year since Chris Brown's assault on ex-girlfriend Rihanna, but the R&B singer is still struggling with a tarnished image.

According to the reports, Brown is having a hard time locking down a venue to accommodate his upcoming 21st birthday party, because club promoters are wary of angering princess Ri-Ri. "They don't want to mess up their relationship, or potential relationship," with a Rihanna, a source told the New York Post. Brown has reportedly sought out clubs in New York, Miami and Las Vegas to host his coming-of-age bash, but has been denied at all venues. Insiders say that he is currently investigating the use of restaurants and private residences in New York City.

Brown was ordered to serve five years of probation and complete community service following the assault, but his image has not been able to bounce back entirely. Early in March, a message that was allegedly recorded by Brown appeared on the website, SayNow.com. In the 90-sec clip, Brown begged fans for their assistance in his fight to get more airplay. "There's nothing else that I can do," the message said, "I'm doing everything that I need to do. I'm doing me as a person and I'm a better guy. But it's on ya'll."

Brown released his most recent album, 'Graffiti,' in December. Although it peaked at No. 1 on Billboard's R&B and Hip-Hop album chart, the album's singles received considerably less airplay than his previous songs.

@Sharon, don't make this about race. It's about merits. I'm a black man myself and I don't act like a coon like Chris "Woman-Beater" Brown. He commited a crime, and he's has to pay the price. He made the bed, he has to lie in it. Don't expect for everyone to spoon-feed and baby him because he's a celebrity. It sickens me when my beautiful sistas will protect a black celebrity who beat down his girlfriend for no reason. Chris Brown lost the war on playing the blame game, hanging out with ignorant fools, and now he's no longer relevant to the music industry.

Can you people leave this guy alone......he made a mistake and apologized so now what...? Why keep punishing him...?.....I listened to his records ....this guy is so talented....STOP bothering him.......I'm a woman and I do not like his RR situation, but the question is, Did RR Slap him first? did she throw a bottle at him or something of that sort.........I like RR, but she seem a little bit off....sometimes it's not the man's fault ......and in this case it could have been RR to instagate it......CAN WE MOVE ON WITH THIS!

Leave this young man alone and let him go about his business........The media and everybody are so HARD on Black Men....they have to be so perfect ...while other men can do anything and be forgiving......

I like Chris Brown. Really loved him in This Christmas. He's very talented. Get off his case and give him a chance. I enjoy his music better than Rhianna's that's for sure. He's young and made a huge mistake, but he's paying for it. His career shouldn't suffer because of this and to be honest, only those two and God really know what happened that night.

Rihanna dogged CB out so she could up her career. she took this opportunity and ran. club owners would rather worry about Rihanna's feelings than making a lot of money? it would make more sense for the club owners to worry about the customers not liking CB. they know people don't give a sh*t. this is all a scam, his newest album Graffiti was just as good as his previous albums, yet the critics all said it was crap. come on, if your a critic, isn't it against the rules to bring your own bias into your job?

Yeah, CB shouldn't have assaulted Rihanna the way he did, just as no man, or woman should any person...but, they are purposely ruining CB and catering to Rihanna. It's all a scam. CB just put out a good album and the critics all dogged it...come on, aren't you supposed to be honest and not bring your own biased into your job if your a critic? And your telling me nightclubs don't want a lot of money from CB? because they are afraid of what Rihanna thinks? Rihanna pissed on CB after this to help her own career, that is what CB's song "Famous Girl" is about. Only God can judge people

Both "CB" and "R" talented or not are a couple of useless spoiled pieces of excrment that continues to destroiy the younger generation through this thing they call music. Take their handlers AWAY AND NEIGHTER OF THEM COULD FIND THEIR COLLECTIVE BUTT WITH BOTH HANDS AND A MIRROR.

As much as I am against men assaulting women, Chris is a very talented individual whom I think should be giving the opportunity to perform without bias. We don't really know what happened that night between Chris and Rihanna yet we tend to quick to judge. Let me say this...A man/boy should not hit a woman/girl under any circumstances. Hopefully we have some real men out there that can help the situation. Chris you are in my prayers and I hope the you're given a fair chance to get your career back on track. My children miss you because you're one hell of a performer.
