Playing the character "Super Mister Super Hero" Mos descended from the "sky" decked out in a red and gold outfit, curly wig and huge bifocals. He also broke out his vocals skills and led the groups in a sing-along that lured a scared alien out to play with him and the rest of the 'Yo Gabba Gabba' crew. Ironically this latest role isn't too much of a stretch since he's flexed his comedic muscle many times before, most notably on the 'Dave Chappelle Show.' For what it is worth, Mos totally committed to the role, which proves that he must love the kids.

Mos Def Goes on 'Yo Gabba Gabba' Super Rescue Mission

April 05 2010 at 6:44 AM Report abuse Permalink rate up rate down ReplyMy family and I love the show! My wife played the show for me and let me see our 19 month old adores the show. I thought Mos Def was great on the show. I thought he resembled Shazam! somewhat. The people that guest star on the show speaks very highly of them as people.

April 05 2010 at 8:02 AM Report abuse Permalink rate up rate down ReplyBy the way that is "I don't live under a rock", not love under a rock. [ No time for any of that in this old man's life! :-) ]
April 05 2010 at 1:18 AM Report abuse Permalink rate up rate down ReplyI have no idea who Mos Def is. I've never seen any of the movies that were mentioned by Mr. Rick. I don't love under a rock, my wife and I are just very busy raising two of our grandchildren, one who is 12, and the other who is 3. The 3 yer old LOVES YO GABBA GABBA. He dances, and screams with delight at the television when the show is on. He adores Plex. We have many Plex toys, along with all the other Yo Gabba Gabba characters. When it's dance time, Grandma & Pappy dance right along with him. So does his 12 year old cousin when he isn't in school. It's a great show for children, since our days are only spent at Nick Jr I think it's one of the better shows for toddlers available.

Maybe they've been living under a rock for many years :-), but the culture remark doesn't make you look very good!
How do you know what someone's culture is just by them not knowing who someone is?
Personally, I think Mos Def is incredibly talented!
Your remarks are making you look more like the person you're accusing "Tippythehorse" of being!
Who'w mos def?
April 05 2010 at 12:08 AM Report abuse Permalink rate up rate down Replywhen people leave comments saying "who's so and so" it doesnt make you appear cool. it makes you look foolish.
this guy had dramatic leading roles next to bruce wilis.(16 blocks) alan rickman(something the lord made), ernie hudson,(lakawanna blues), mark walhberg( the truth about charlie), and many more im overlooking.
this RAPPER has perfected his craft. when people claim not to know black celebrities, it just shows how much you DONT integrate into other cultures.
i wouldnt expect you to know.
I really dont like the show either, but my kids do. Go figure.
