Jaheim Arrested, Faces Drug Possession Charges

A local New Jersey newspaper has reported that R&B singer Jaheim was arrested in his hometown of Hillsborough on March 28, and now faces charges of speeding and marijuana possession.

The 32-year-old entertainer was pulled over by Hillsborough, NJ, cops while driving 30mph over the speed limit. When police approached the car, they claimed to notice a strong odor of marijuana, giving them cause to search the vehicle. According to the Messenger-Gazette, Jaheim allowed cops to search the car only after exchanging a few unpleasant words with them. Inside, police reportedly found a small marijuana bud and several discarded cigar wrappers, which they associated with marijuana use.

In June 2008, the singer appeared in court to face similar charges stemming from a 2004 arrest. He was nabbed in the parking lot of a 7-11 convenience store in New Jersey, and charged with possession of 50 grams or less of marijuana and possession of controlled dangerous substance in a motor vehicle. A New Jersey judge dismissed the charges, concluding that the cops did not have probable cause to search his vehicle, but the Jersey native was still charged with resisting arrest, and was sentenced to two years of probation and an enrollment in an anger management program.

The details of Jaheim's current legal troubles sound very similar to his prior charges. The singer released his fifth studio album 'Another Round,' in February.

The guy has been a criminal all of his life. He will never change. He is from juvenile reform school and will be entering prison. As you can see, money don't stop stupid. The dude has made some hits taking music from the 70's and 80's and placing parts of the old songs in his songs. He came out of reform school sounding a little like Luther, got a record deal and had some hits in R&B. All the money in the world won't ever change a criminal. There is no one to blame when you have numerous court cases. Money won't and can't change Ghetto. This is another instance of a person not respecting the law. Smoke dope at home not in a car the police have targeted. He made their job easier by the evidence. I wish I had not bought his last CD, it's not that good. Dude will be a song bird in prison like he was in juvenile. It's the normal progression of idiots(right LiL-Dumb Wayne). The Police do check the tags of cars and pretty much know who the owner is. Going 30 miles over the speed limit just might get your car stopped and checked. Then there is an odor of pot in the car and pot itself and yall blame the police. Pot does change the behavior of rats, mice and people. If not, then why smoke it? Oh I know, for the odor of it. I got it now. Let those yellow lines in the street mess with your head while driving. Cause they will if you are high enough. And yall say pot is innocent and causes no problems. That's a lie and you all know it. Oh, and the rat and mice comment is from Crime Lab experience. The police are trained to know the oder of pot and they carry a kit to determine if the active ingredient(THC) is present. Then you get arrested and play the in an out of prison game for the rest of your life. See ya on Lock UP or First 48. Puff, puff, pass now yall. Pass the Dochie from the left hand side. Mary Jane and Rick James. Come on, help me out potheads and fake NASCAR drivers.

All of you racists are pathetic, hiding behind the internet to talk up racist trash. But in person you would never have the balls to talk that N-word stuff. All that some young blacks or Latinos have to do is look at you the right way and you become afraid. Unless it's 3 or 4 of you and only one of us, then you wanna act bad. Gimme a break.
