Even if you don't keep up to date with Diddy's off-the-wall marketing strategies, you may recall a little comment the hip-hop mogul made at Greenhouse nightclub in New York City back in March, that really ticked off the owners of fellow vodka brands. Diddy's crude comment, "If you're not drinking Ciroc Vodka, then you're drinking pee pee," pissed off liquor Tycoon M.J. Silver so much, that he organized a protest in Times Square to declare "Vodka War" on Diddy.The rally wasn't much of a success since security officials banned protesters from entering Combs' headquarters to dump liters of Ciroc into toilets as planned. And maybe that's why Diddy didn't learn his lesson. On March 13 and 14, Ciroc Vodka was among the 1024 spirits sampled and evaluated at the prestigious, 10th annual San Francisco World Spirits Competition. The French brand picked up two Premium Vodka Double Gold Medal awards from the panel of 30 judges and Diddy, of course, needed to let the world know. The Bad Boy CEO took it upon himself to record a shameless promotional video to properly vocalize Ciroc's success.
