Soulja Boy Reveals His Self-Help Techniques in 'Teenage Millionaire'

Soulja BoyTeenage phenom Soulja Boy is about to publish his first book, 'Teenage Millionaire.' The book discusses the 19-year-old star's rise to fame and serves as an inspirational tale for those with similar ambitions.

"I made my first million dollars when I was 16 years old," Soulja Boy told Billboard. "I came from a place where a lot of people don't make it out to see the type of things I've seen around the world and see the amount of money that I've obtained. I just wanna tell all the people how I did it."

The book will also feature some of Soulja Boy's own 'The Secret' techniques for visualizing success, as the rapper/producer explained during a recent visit to BET's '106 & Park.' "One of the chapters talks about 'speaking it into existence,'" Soulja Boy said. "You have a list of goals where you think from the non-conscious, and you weed out the negative thoughts and just fill it with the goal that you trying to accomplish, and it actually work. I did it in a short amount of time so I figured I'd write about it and give it to the public."

Soulja also excitedly confirmed that both his new book and his upcoming third album, 'Dre,' will be released on July 28, his 20th birthday. Crank Dat.

At the end of the day some of the most prestige and highly favored americans never went to college because they simply found other routes to making their lives successful. Although education is something that can never be taken away from us lets be honest it still does not guarantee us a life full of bliss. Soula Boy has found his niche and he's making tons of money from it. You can't knock a person for making money off what they love to do best. If you are not a fan of him then that is your own personal preference but dont try to bring a person down because you dont approve of what they do. He may not represent the "hip hop" that we are all used to but it works for him and he has made tons of money from it. You never know. As un-educated as you may think it may actually have knowledge that we all can use. Eventually the world will learn that you can never judge a book by its cover. Its not always what it looks like its what it actually is. Im a 22 year college educated student and I see no fault in wanting a better life for yourself. Some people may not call him talented but beg the differ. It takes talent to be in the entertainment industry. He's writing and performing his own material and he's found a way to reach his audience. He is loved by a lot of people. No matter how many people try to rebel against the new hip hop genre lets all face it hip hop is evolving. We all love the old LL Cool J and Run DMC and early Jay Z and new for that matter but sometimes you just want to let lose and have a good time and those are the type of songs he produces, lively ones. Nevermind the lyrics, when you hear a Soulja Boy song not many people can say that his music doesnt make them bob their heads. I think its really sad that we havent even given this guy but im willing to bet some of those same people who talk about him glorify other people who have done some of the same things he has done. Take some of the famous athletes whos jerseys we wear faithfully and pay 100s of dollars to see in action most of them never finished college. Look at Bill Gates, Ralph Lauren all self made millionaires, billionaires excuse me and both of which do not have college degrees. So is it a double standard because we still buy their products and I do not see anyone blogging about them. Granted you cant compare the products they sell but as far as us judging him off his decision not to go to college these people are one in the same. Half the people in this country have gone on to finish college some at the top of their class and yet are working at warehouses and corporate call centers paying back student loans that surpass their incomes and yet we still emphasize the importance of going to college when us college educated people know first hand that we pay thousands of dollars to learn things they may never be used post college. You can take all the business classes in the world but they'll still never teach you how to be a successful businessman or woman and in knowing so we still continue to spend our money, why because thats what America has taught us. We spend countless hrs and dollars on "higher" education just to make a decent living for ourselves and for some its worth it but for those who havent quite made it yet im sure they are probably questioning the importance of it all but i say all this to point out you cant hate on a person for trying make it and I think he deserves credit because he's found a way in, that most of us are still hoping to find. Give the young man credit.

I'm not a Soulja Boy fan... I like Rap music but when I hear him I'm like "what is this?"... But he is showing the hip hop community and all children that listen to him, that you can reach your dream if you put your mind to it. People may or may not like him. But at the end of the day he is a teenage self made millionaire. He didn't sign a contract with anyone, he just persevered and made it. If nothing else he deserves respect for his ambition and for surpassing his goal.
Regardless of his occupation of choice millions of Americans would like to figure out how to make millions doing something they love. Congratulations Soulja Boy. At 20 years old you've moved yourself into a statistic they never dreamed you'd be in.

oh yeah, I wonder if he will even invest in himself and his future whether in music or business (or both) by taking some of those "millions" and putting himself through college to get an education so he can be an educated and diverse, ethical, responsible business man?

Or, is he going to blow it all on bling-bling, whips and ho's?

OMG, somebody please stop this kid. I would much rather see society promoting things for kids that will actually expose them to things so we are all more culturally diverse. I really don't think hard working African American families want the rest of society thinking that Soulja Boy is a good influence on children or an accurate representation of his "culture"

Step outside of your comfort zone and pick up a literary classic that you may actually gain something from. Try experiencing something besides this garbage that only puts more money in this goof ball's pocket.
