Jay-Z joined 88-year-old comedic actress Betty White on Saturday Night Live last night (May 8) and together the pair helped snag the highest ratings for the show since November 1, 2008. White's first appearance on the 35-year-old sketch comedy show proved to be a success thanks to hilarious skits like the NPR "dusty muffin" dialogue and multiple guest appearances from the former funny ladies of SNL.
Not to be upstaged by the actress' golden moment, Jay-Z performed a mini-concert of sorts as he rocked out for more than 10 minutes, performing a medley of hits.Jay kicked things off with 'Public Service Announcement,' before moving into 'On to the Next One' and '99 Problems.' The Brooklyn native, joined by Roc Nation signee Bridget Kelly, wrapped up the set with his New York anthem 'Empire State of Mind.'
Jay returned for his second go round with Mr Hudson and performed 'Young Forever,' which Hov smoothly ended by shouting out the night's host. As Mr Hudson belted out the final "Forever young," Jay proclaimed that the performance is "dedicated to the most incredible Betty White." Can we all say "Awww!"
