When Dipset's Cam'ron and Jim Jones officially put an end to their 3-year feud this past April, rumor was that it was only a matter of time before a full-fledged reunion would go down. The most obvious place for the group's reintroduction would have been Hot 97's annual SummerJam, where Killa Cam and Juelz Santana performed two weekends ago. Alas, Jones was barred from the venue and fans had to wait another week for some news.
Now, it's officially happening. On Friday, Miss Info posted some shots of Cam, Jones, Juelz and Freekey Zekey hard at work on a Brooklyn video set. The four Harlem-based artists gathered at a construction site, donning hard hats in the midst of some real deal industrial vehicles and machinery. On the other side of the set, there appears to be a solid fleet of six-figure cars. This is the exact Dipset that fans love -- hard working, loyal, flashy and ready to put New York hip-hop on their backs.
Thus far, it's unknown if the video is for a new track or will merely serve as a reintroduction of Dipset to the world. Cam'ron has already said that a new Dipset album will likely drop this winter if that's what the fans want. With these recent photos and growing hype, it's safe to say that they do.
