Broadway musical 'Fela!' continues to garner awards and acclaim. The musical, which was produced by Jay-Z and Will Smith, and directed/choreographed by stage legend Bill T. Jones, took home three of the 11 Tony Awards it was nominated for at last night's award show. The musical won for Best Choreography, Best Costume and Best Sound Design.Based on the life of revered Nigerian musician, civil rights leader and Afrobeat pioneer, Fela Anikulapo Kuti, the musical opened on Broadway just over half a year ago, and has been one of the year's biggest success stories.
Jay-Z, Beyonce, Will and Jada Pinkett Smith were all in attendance at last night's Tony Awards ceremony, sharing the moment.
