Fans showed Chris Brown some love at this year's BET Awards taking home the AOL Fandemonium statue. Beating out Trey Songz, Nicki Minaj and Justin Bieber, Brown looked utterly shocked to win the award voted on by his fans. The Virginia native thanked everyone for their support and promised not to "let them down" again. Brown took the stage two times during the show, the first to perform a tribute to the late King of Pop, Michael Jackson. "BE NERVOUS FOR ME... im s---in a brick right now!!!!" he tweeted before the performance. Since his assault on girlfriend Rihanna back in 2008 Brown has been unable to get his career back on track, but after tonight's show it looks like the public is finally ready to move on from his personal mistakes and focus on his professional triumphs.
Other winners at this year's BET Awards included Jay-Z, Alicia Keys, Nicki Minaj and Drake.
