Beyonce Caught Texting While Driving

Looks like Beyoncé ignored the "No Phone Zone" pledge that day-time talk show host Oprah Winfrey created earlier this year. According to a report, the pop singer was pulled over last month (June 23) by the NYPD for texting while driving.

"Beyoncé was really embarrassed because she only recently got her driver's license," revealed a source. In an effort to get out of the situation, the Texas native is said to have used her celebrity status to avoid receiving a ticket.

"She tried to charm that cop and told him she had no idea that texting while driving was against the law," said the insider. But it seems that being Beyoncé wasn't enough to keep her out of hot water. "He had no idea who she was. He just slapped her with the ticket, which was worth more than $100!"

Earlier this year it was reported that Beyoncé's husband, Jay-Z, gave her driving lessons to help her pass her road test, but looks like he may have forgotten to stress one important thing: texting while driving is against the law.

Hey guys Im not suprised anyone could make this mistake, but in the picture - note that im not making fun of anyone or disrespecting her but doesn't she look kind of like a man...? In all her other photos and videos she looks marvelous execpt this one...I would pass as her as a man...if some facial hair was added and take her hair out the picture...anyone agree?

Easy fix - if the accident happens while the driver is using a cell phone for talking / texting; the insurance company can deny coverage ! Let the reckless owner / driver pay the bill. People will learn quickly when their wallet goes flat.

The mentality of Beyonce bothers me. She just got a license, ok, she sings with GAGA about the phone like its bothering her life which she is in control, but wait, she isnt then lies too. Not a role model and oprah ought learn the only sista she has is the one who really respects her.

She "only recently" got her license? What a moron. Even seasoned drivers need to pay attention to what's going on around them, let alone someone who just got her license. Obviously, a measly $100 fine isn't enough to get people to not behave stupidly behind the wheel. Make it $400, with 50% forgiveness for the first breech, and no mercy for any additional offenses. When the third offense is committed, it's time to notify the insurance company and suspend the license for six months--with no excuses for "hardship."
