"Me and Baby [Birdman] been talking. We been talking about doing the Cash Money thing where I put one album out on Def Jam, distributed by Def Jam, and Baby [will] distribute one album on Cash Money," he told MTV. "I might do that. I'm not sure. We're still finishing the fine points and negotiating that. I definitely think we can put out two different albums on the same day at the end of the year, then come back with a third one or another double set six months later. Get all this shit off my chest."
He also spoke on his relationship with the Cash Money mogul, reflecting on the days when he knew Birdman as a young blood. "[Birdman] was gonna take me on tour with them, then I got locked up," he said, referring to Cash Money as 'family.' "He reached out to me and let me know if there was anything he could do to assist. When I was about to come out, he reached out to me again to see if there was anything he could do to help me."
Shyne has been building his buzz back up since finishing up a nine -year bid in prison for a high profile nightclub shooting. After an immediate deportation to Belize in 2009, Shyne kept a low profile before releasing a string of new tracks to the Internet, including a remix of Rihanna's 'Rude Boy.'
