The group is most known as a guest on Gang Starr's 'Hard to Earn' and for its own slice of excellent golden age boom-bap entitled 'Livin' Proof.' That record, executive produced by DJ Premier, featured East Coast bangers like 'Supa Star' and the still remarkable 'Up Against Tha Wall.' The group has also released two other records to little fanfare and was last heard from on 2008's 'Where Back.'
"We all came up together, yo," said group member Lil' Dap in a recent video. "We was living hard back then. Sometimes I ain't go home -- I be staying up there with Guru, me, him and Premier. We all was sleeping on the floors and s--- in a one-bedroom apartment. We was grinding back then. The grind and the love was strong because we were all doing it together. We came from a hard boat."
