RZA famously sampled the Beatles' 'While My Guitar Gently Weeps' on the Wu-Tang Clan single 'My Heart Gently Weeps,' Now, he's ready to pay more respect to the biggest band of all-time.

The hip-hop veteran will take part in a tribute to Beatles guitarist John Lennon in Los Angeles on Oct. 1 and 2, where he will share the stage with John Lennon's widow Yoko Ono, Lady Gaga, Iggy Pop and more. The shows, headlined by Ono's We Are Plastic Ono Band, will take place at L.A.'s Orpheum Theater a week before what would have been John Lennon's 70th birthday (October 9).

Under the musical direction of Lennon's son Sean, the event is the follow-up to a concert that took place earlier this year in Brooklyn, where Ono was joined by Paul Simon, Eric Clapton and Bette Midler. Tickets for the show are already on sale, with prices ranging from $60 to $150.

Most recently, RZA linked up with his Wu brethren to perform 'Enter the Wu-Tang: 36 Chambers' in its entirety at the Rock the Bells Festival. He is currently working to bring the classic album to life by adapting it for the stage.

Seems this faux "tribute" to the great John Lennon is nothing more and nothing less than a clever scheme to sell his music and put more money in Yoko Ono's bank account as well as the record company's bank account, while pretending they're doing this all for "charity". John would be very proud. How gullible do you think the American public is?
Yoko, you be sure and bow down to the great god GREED and grab all the loot of John's you can before you blast-off to oblivion; there, you'll be the nothing you truly are! And be sure and teach Sean, John's son, to also claw and grab all the super-loot he can before he trots off to oblivion as well; because all of you demented, greedy people make a mockery of everything that man stood for!
Sincerely,
Barry Gram Carol Stream, Illinois
