Queen La, who will appear on the new season's third episode -- airing on October 7 -- plays a demanding Congresswoman who seeks to put more minorities on NBC shows. It's unknown if she'll appear on more than one episode, but fellow guest stars Damon and Elizabeth Banks are reprising their roles from last season, which could lead to future guest spots on the series.
Latifah has been doing her thing on the acting tip over the past year, recently announcing that she's set to star opposite Dolly Parton in the upcoming music-themed film 'Joyful Noise.' She's also making waves on the small screen, teaming with VH1 to produce a scripted series dubbed 'Single Ladies' written by the actress/rapper.
She most recently starred opposite Common in the romantic comedy 'Just Wright,' released earlier this May. The film has grossed more than $21 million to date.
