The album, set for a December 7 release, will feature its first single 'Quarter After 2' dropping in the next few weeks. Though details are scarce on the album including its roster of guests and producers, Louch is gearing up for its release by putting out the mixtape 'Donnie Def Jam' and hitting the road with label mate Ghostface Killah on a five-week U.S. tour kicking off in October and wrapping up in San Diego, Calif.
"I'm like a new artist right now," said Louch in a statement. "I feel great! Def Jam really feeling the energy, so I'm ecstatic, man, I'm excited!"
The new label move comes more than a decade after he made his debut as one-third of The LOX. Releasing their debut 'Money, Power & Respect' in 1998, the group followed with a sophomore release in 2000 before splitting apart to record solo albums. Louch made his solo debut in 2003 with 'Walk Witt Me,' releasing three subsequent albums over the next seven years. His most successful hit to date is 'Good Love' off 2008's 'Silverback Gorilla.'
