Chris Brown Discusses Rumored Usher Tour, Fake Industry Friends

Appearing on Angie Martinez's radio show on Hot 97 Wednesday, singer Chris Brown discussed the reason that his rumored tour with fellow crooner Usher never worked out, and explained why he doesn't have many friends in the music industry.

"We kinda had different views on the tour -- no beef," Brown said regarding the Usher tour. "We both have two different promoters, so whoever would get the tour would have to work it out and I think they didn't see eye to eye. I think we rushed into it. We were in love with the idea more than the actual [business part of it]. We couldn't get ready for it. Hopefully in the future, we might work something out."

Despite the fact that Usher ultimately opted to tour with Trey Songz over Brown, the 'Deuces' singer continued to say that the two are still "cool," if not particularly close. "It's whatever, we cool. I'm cordial and that's with everybody," Brown told Martinez. "I don't have friends in this industry. I have my circle and I have my people who've been with me through the bad times and the good times. Everybody else is just wallpaper." Brown further revealed that he doesn't attempt to make "industry" friends, after so many turned their backs when he assaulted his former girlfriend Rihanna.

"I wasn't, like, bitter. Now I see you for you. Get your money, do you," he explained. "We can be cordial, we can be cool. Other than that, I don't need to be your homie, like we don't gotta go hang out ... I kinda just got a gauge of who was there and who wasn't, so now I know who I can deal with. There's people in my phone I'll call and they're my homies. I don't need no more friends. Oh, you need me to do something for you? Holla at my manager."

I think Chris has the right attitude and I wish him nothing but success. Everyone looks at Rhianna feeling sorry for her but she's got everyone "fooled" playing the role of a victim. "Oh he hit me"....whateva! There's 3 sides to every story: 1 his side, 2 her side and 3 the truth and all we heard is #2. I'm a firm believer that a man should not hit a woman, but I also believe a woman shouldn't hit a man. It goes both ways. In some domestic cases, the man is not always the bad guy. There are some women that like to provoke incidents. You've got to learn to separate your love for the music from what you think you love of the artist because in the end, you don't know them only of them and that's only the character that a record company created. Don't let the pretty faces

Hmmm.. All these ppl on here talking about how they want to see Chris Brown get his a** beat is way more worse than he is. How would you say such a thing..?? What does that make you? Secondly, he don't pay our bills and we don't pay his. No one asks you to buy his music. Most of these dumb a** who are talking madness about him, are the same ppl that don't even care for music. If you don't like the program, change the channel

Good for Chris. Everyone let Chris take all the heat for that Rhiana incident. He is younger than she is and he admited to making a mistake. Both were wrong and could have benefited from counseling of some sort. Jay Z and many other artists soley blamed Chris. Dont think he got a fair shake.

You know Chris is young. He did something really terrible and to all people out there in denial saying that Rihanna deserved it, the next time someone says something you don't like to hear just give them a good whooping. Because you'll face NO REPERCUSSIONS for it. Use common sense once in a while before you talk or write anything peeps. Some of you sound damn ignorant.

But, for Chris' sake, I really hope he has learned a lesson through all of this. He may have already killed his career in music especially if he keeps bringing out CD's and not letting the public forgive him of this unfortunate mess he made for himself. Chris, get out of the public eye, go the hell back to school and get a career to fall back on. When we have seen you've actually grown as a man and you are TRULY remorseful we'll let you back into all of our musical lives.
