Petey Pablo to Turn Himself in for Recent Gun Charge

Timbaland collaborator Petey Pablo is expected to turn himself in today, after a warrant was issued for his arrest.

The North Carolina rapper was indicted by a grand jury for attempting to smuggle a a Smith & Wessun 9MM pistol, along with ammunition, onto a plane at Raleigh-Durham International Airport this past September 11, en route to the 2010 MTV Music Video Awards in Los Angeles. A representative for Pablo said that the gun had been confiscated from a "distressed friend," stashed in the bag and forgotten, yet the grand jury claims that Pablo was well aware that he had a "concealed dangerous weapon that was and would have been accessible to him in flight."

Pablo is charged with possession of a firearm by a felon, possession of a stolen firearm and attempting to take a gun onto an airplane.

Samantha, if you're still out there, WAKE UP. Islam is not a race, it is a dictatorial political system. Rappers are not a race, they are a dirtbag part of a race that has produced many great contributors to our society. And no I didn't vote for our commie president, but I would vote for J.C. Watts for president in a heartbeat - and he's not half white.

North Carolina is a concealed carry state, so it is safe to assume that all citizens are armed. The exceptions being convicted felons, and the mentally ill. Petey Pablo meets both qualifications for dis-allowance. In North Carolina a felony can be anything from littering to homocide, with littering felonies being reserved for non-whites. My information is that Petey Pablo's felony was drug related.

This has to be some kind of mistake. These upstanding folks don't break the law, use profanity or anything like that. We can't let this happen to him. Call Al Sharpton & let him straighten things out like he did down at Duke University.

I'm old enough to remember "black" music from the 60s when black people were being legally mistreated, the 70s and into the 80s, and it was happy , joyous, made you feel good. What are all these idiots so mad about. All this money they have, and they're still miserable.

"Smith & Wessun?" Really? Did the writer of this article get the name of the gun from another rapper? Smith and Wesson perhaps?
