Back in June, an excited Bun B announced his new teaching post at Texas' Rice University, and now Swizz Beatz will follow suit, by dedicating his precious time to educating the kids. On Wednesday morning Swizzy was named the first Producer-in-Residence at New York University's Tisch School of the Arts.

For the remainder of the 2010-2011 academic year, Swizz will lend his musical expertise to NYU's Clive Davis Department of Recorded Music, where he will instill students with the skills it takes to achieve entrepreneurial success in the music industry. "I'm excited to be able to take my many years of experience in the music business and use it as an example to instruct students," Swizz said. "The invitation from Mr. Davis and professor Rabhan is humbling and I'm honored."

According to NYU's official website, Swizz will be responsible for hosting group lectures, one-on-one sessions, giving songwriting critiques and providing students with access to other powerful players in the industry. "Swizz Beatz' amazing track record as an artist and producer, coupled with his commitment to education, makes him the ideal role model for our students," said Jeffrey Rabhan, chair of The Clive Davis Department of Recorded Music. "We consider it a great honor to have him involved with this unique program."

Ok, Ashley finally I think this will go through. What I'm trying to say is he has had a lot of negative publicity and accusations lately. Law suit, tax problems, ex's, child support. I just feel he needs to not get any negative publicity for a while and be more of a stand up kind of person before taking on this position and espceially lecturing students. Seems his children have been through a lot lately and I feel he should be more concerned with that. As far as paying someone to lecture and the money. What I meant is it seems someone is just giving him this job to make him look good when really I feel he should look good before taking it and especially before lecturing students. I'm sure he has a lot of insight into the music business but personally I feel that doesn't matter as much as how people respect him and look up to him. I could see after he proves himself to be a better or (transformed) person but not at this point. I know my opinion means nothing and like I said money will usually get you whatever you want be it position, power, for some respect, but to me, I feel it should be earned.

Your comment reaks of ignorance and bigotry. And judging by your comments as well, I dseriously doubt that any child of yours will ever be talented enough to be considered much less accepted.
