This year, artists must have released a project between Sept. 1, 2009, through Sept. 30, 2010, to be eligible for an award. While that leaves out albums from Kanye West, Rihanna and Nicki Minaj, many others are in the running. The main event takes place on Feb. 13, 2011 in Los Angeles and will air live on CBS at 8PM ET/PT.
As expected -- after scoring double platinum success with 'Recovery' -- Detroit native Eminem scored several nominations including 'Album of the Year' and 'Song of the Year' for 'Love the Way You Lie,' featuring Rihanna. Drake snagged a Best Rap Album nod for his debut 'Thank Me Later' and will battle it out with Justin Bieber, Florence and the Machine, Mumford and Sons and Esperanza Spaulding in the Best New Artist category. B.o.B made out well with nominations for 'Record of the Year' for 'Nothin' on You,' Best Rap Album for his debut 'The Adventures of Bobby Ray' and Best Pop Collaboration for 'Airplanes.'
