Bow Wow Explains His Suicidal Thoughts

Bow Wow is breaking down why he chooses to use his Twitter page as a public diary, where he has vocalized his thoughts of suicide.

In an interview with Angie Ange on Washington D.C. radio station 93.9, the Cash Money rapper explained his feelings, likening himself to the main character in the film 'Richie Rich,' a wealthy child who wants nothing more than to be like everyone else. "It's similar with me, it's the same story, all I know is the business," he explained. "I ain't had time to go and play football and do none of the regular stuff. At times, it haunts you because of course you're going to be unbalanced."

"I'm unbalanced because I only seen one side of life," he continued. "I ain't seen the other side. It's not by choice, it's just how it is. Some days I wake up and I do want to just fit in sometimes. I didn't mean it [the tweet] like I wanted kill myself, it's like, 'Yo, I wonder, like, when will I get peace?" I guess when I'll get it, is when I'm dead."

Ironically, not long before tweeting about dying, Bow advised his followers not to use Twitter as a personal diary. This isn't the first time that the 23-year-old's tweets have made the news. Earlier this year, he refuted claims that he used the social networking site to solicit a woman for oral sex, which he later denied.

In the midst of all the tweeting, Bow is prepping the release of his Cash Money Records debut, 'Underrated.' The album's single 'Ain't Thinkin' 'Bout You' features Chris Brown and just received the music video treatment. Look out for 'Underrated' in 2011.

bow wow aint sayin nothin the rest of us havent thought about at one point or another. we're all convinced some other group of people have it better than us and 99% of our lives are wasted trying to get our hands on it. bow wows position in life is arguably the worst of all, because atleast we common people can strive and fantasize for money and fame, convinced its where happiness lies. people like bow wow who were born with everything that supposed to make them happy probably develop a huge complex when theyre born with the stuff that everyone wants but still dont feel as happy as everyone thinks they should.

Speaking to an Invisible Man in The Sky is a sign of severe mental illness.
Christianity is a phony, made up religion with absolutely no basis of any kind of proven, historical fact. It was invented during the fall of the Roman Empire as a way to continue the habit of keeping the great unlettered and unwashed in line by making threats of horrible retribution by the Invisible Man in The Sky.
The Bible, written by a man, is a complete and total work work of fiction comprised of myths, legends and outright lies. Nothing that takes place in the Bible can be proven to have ever happened.

You guys that are scared to believe in GOD are funny to me. Science continually disprove their own facts all the time. Religion is as old as man, and nearly every civilized society has some form of it. Christianity is actually the newest of the main stream religions. Judism, Hebrew and Islam were around much longer. I as a religious believer do have respect fot atheist, you should also have respect for those that are religious. If you dont want to believe in GOD that is ok, maybe after you die (and you will die) you will come believe, but by then it will be too late im afraid.

I respect that the fellow can fell like he can speak his mind to the public. He may have money but it sounds like what he's sayin is that he didn't have a choice, he was born into this situation. I am proud of him that he has the GUTS to speak his feelings. I don't know a lot about him but it speaks volumes to be able to be honest with poeple/fans when the outcome can drastically change the way they percieve you. I dont listen to rap much but I respect you for being real. In the end thats all we have.

What Gwen said is so true. Peace comes from God. Material things can't comfort your spirit. Ever notice how much you enjoy a newly purchased item....whatever it is...and soon enough the "thrill is gone" . God's peace is constant. Never changing, even through difficulties, He will carry you through. No one has a perfect life because of the world we live in, but God will carry us through. Just open your heart and ssk for His help. Perfection not needed.

If its any help, there are many people who consider suicide every day. Maybe you could visit a suicide help center. Listen to the counselors talk on the phone. Dont get too carried away but just enough to know your not alone. You could always go to a rec center and play ball. Just use your real name, not your rap name.
